Shaobo’s path into design was shaped by an early belief that skills and knowledge can come from anywhere, fostering a mindset of openness and curiosity. His introduction to creativity began with a childhood drawing class, which unexpectedly ignited a fascination with imaginative making—not just copying reality but inventing new worlds. This interest deepened when he explored working with clay and construction toys like LEGO, discovering the joy of building beyond predefined instructions.
Over time, Shaobo’s attention shifted to the designed world around him: light fixtures, furniture, and household objects became sources of study. His growing sensitivity to form and function, combined with a habit of sketching and analyzing everyday items, sharpened his design sensibility. Peers noted his talent for noticing subtle details and envisioning improvements.
Today, Shaobo’s design practice is grounded in observation, creative experimentation, and a desire to make purposeful, thoughtful work. His journey reflects a continuous commitment to refining his skills and expanding the possibilities of design.
